About the role:
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing organisational performance through the design, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality training programs and processes. This opportunity would be a site-based role that would operate on an 8/6 FIFO roster.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the training and development team, overseeing the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs to meet organisational objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective organisational development strategies, systems, and processes to support continuous improvement and employee growth.
  • Collaborate with site leadership teams to identify training needs and develop tailored solutions to address skill gaps and enhance performance.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to the to address company-wide education and development requirements.
  • Utilise best practices in adult learning theory, instructional design, and training delivery methods to create engaging and impactful learning experiences.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives, making recommendations for improvement and innovation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure training programs remain current and relevant.
About You:
  • Bring experience in similar level role within mining or similar heavy industry.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training packages – materials, modules, competencies, and evaluations.
  • Proven experience implementing, managing, and maintaining a learning management system.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and embedding training and development policies and procedures.
  • Experience in leadership development and safety training with a strong understanding of risk management principles.
  • An open communication style, a professional who shares information and contributes to an excellent working environment.
