ICT Manager

Job description

I am currently working with an independent Queensland Government Authority looking for suitable candidates who have very strong hands-on cyber security experience especially in the Microsoft security suite (Azure and Sentinel) as well as strong technical skills and experience in managing an IT team.
 
In addition to having a strong cyber security management background, the successful candidate would:
  • be responsible for leading the organisation's modern workplace solutions and digital business systems architecture
  • design, architect, and manage their digital information, record management and information management platforms and applications, ensuring the successful planning, delivery, and sustainability of digital initiatives
  • lead and manage team members required to build the organisation's modern workplace platforms and business applications, including the contingent workforce
  • provide subject matter expert advice in relation to the integration, product and software development and testing, digital automation, and data migration initiatives, and act as the ultimate escalation point for the organisation's digital environment to resolve complex issues, recommend mitigation strategies to address gaps in services or potential risks, and minimise potential impacts on business areas
  • provide thought leadership and specialist expert advice to the Chief Information Officer, executive management group and key internal and external stakeholders
  • build and maintain influential and consultative peer group networks across government, external partners, and the wider IT industry 
  • develop guidelines and best practices for managing business change and security throughout the organisation, in alignment with ITIL and their Data Governance framework and Information Security Management System (ISMS)
  • research emerging digital integration, software, and initiatives, providing advice to stakeholders on emerging trends and developing strategies with multiple tools, infrastructure, and architecture considerations
This is a contract opportunity until April 2023.  The role is located in the Brisbane CBD, with a hybrid work environment offered.
