ICT Category Manager

Job description

Troocoo is working exclusively with our client to recruit an experienced ICT Category Manager to join our client’s procurement team in a leadership position.

This role plays a key part in shaping procurement strategies across key ICT spend areas, leading and developing a high-performing team, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers and strategic partners
  

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives across the ICT category, delivering value and alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of procurement professionals to deliver best practice outcomes across the ICT category.
  • Influence and support key stakeholders to improve procurement practices and compliance across the business.
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including both pre-contract planning and post-award contract management. 
  • Develops negotiation strategies and leads negotiations with suppliers. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers. 
  • Support continuous improvement in contract and supplier performance management frameworks.
  • Work cross-functionally to assess business needs and assist in the evaluation and procurement of tech solutions.
Skills and Experience: 
  • Proven experience in ICT Category Management, ICT Procurement Specialist or a similar role. 
  • Strong understanding of ICT products, services, and market trends. 
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries (preferred not essential).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement
