ICT Category Manager

Job description

Troocoo is seeking an experienced ICT Procurement Category Manager to join our client’s procurement team on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension or permanency.
  
This role plays a key part in shaping procurement strategies across key ICT spend areas and fostering strong relationships with suppliers and strategic partners.
  
Key responsibilities include:

 
  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives across the ICT category, delivering value and alignment with business objectives.
  • Influence and support key stakeholders to improve procurement practices and compliance across the business.
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including both pre-contract planning and post-award contract management. 
  • Develops negotiation strategies and leads negotiations with suppliers. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers. 
  • Support continuous improvement in contract and supplier performance management frameworks.
  • Work cross-functionally to assess business needs and assist in the evaluation and procurement of tech solutions.
 
Skills and Experience: 

  • Proven experience in ICT Category Management, ICT Procurement Specialist or a similar role. 
  • Strong understanding of ICT products, services, and market trends. 
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
