HR Compliance Partner

Troocoo are proud to be partnering with a leading Australian retailer, as we go to market in search of an experienced HR Compliance Partner to join their high performing and collaborative HR team in this newly created role.

About the role

  • Work as a part of a dedicated project team initially, to deliver a project focused on strengthening existing HR and Payroll compliance frameworks
  • Transition into an ongoing role responsible for maintaining compliant processes and systems
  • Monitor and interpret evolving legislation, Modern Awards, and workplace obligations across Australia and New Zealand
  • Partner with the HR team, Payroll, and business leaders to identify compliance risks and implement sustainable solutions
  • Provide practical advice and support on Award interpretation, payroll compliance, and HR governance
  • Design and deliver training to build capability and awareness across teams
  • Contribute to both strategic and operational initiatives that drive compliance excellence and business integrity
About you

You’re a practically minded HR Compliance professional with a strong background in Industrial Relations and Employment Law. You have a deep understanding of Modern Awards, the NES, and the Fair Work Act, and can interpret complex workplace legislation with confidence and clarity.
  • Experience in Industrial Relations, Employment Law, or HR Compliance (ideally with in-house experience or consulting directly to employers)
  • Strong Award interpretation skills and the ability to apply legal and compliance frameworks in a pragmatic, business-focused way
  • Demonstrated exposure to payroll compliance and complex employment environments such as retail, hospitality, aged care, or manufacturing
  • A track record of supporting compliance uplift initiatives and implementing practical, sustainable compliance solutions
  • Confidence to challenge, advise, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to maintain best-practice compliance
