About the role

As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will work both operationally and strategically to partner with the business and foster a culture which aligns to the core values of the business.

Forming a crucial part of the HR team and working closely with the Employee Relations team, you will be a trusted pillar of support to various business units. As you support your client group in their people and culture requirements to deliver increased productivity, engagement, and retention, you will ensure employee experience remains at the heart.  You will cultivate quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders with confidence, building a reputation as a trusted partner to the business for all people and culture matters.
Day-to-day, you will:
  • Provide high-level advice and support to drive a trajectory of success for high-performing teams within the business.
  • Deliver effective initiatives to boost employee engagement, retention, skills development, and other people related strategies, ensuring alignment with the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion strategy.
  • Support and coach leaders in all ER processes and partner across escalations to ensure compliant and satisfactory outcomes.
  • Provide leadership in restructuring activities and utilise market knowledge, research, and analysis for annual budget forecasting.
  • Drive cultural change and act as the visible change and continual improvement agent in all levels of the business.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong stakeholder engagement skills as you build trust and rapport as a key partner of the business. Working with leaders both onsite and in the corporate office, you will confidently work closely to build their capability and operationalise the people and culture strategy throughout the business. Bringing a strong, contemporary approach to HR, you will demonstrate an analytical and commercial approach to achieving business outcomes. You will thrive in a complex and fast-paced environment where you can influence across all levels of the business structure.
You will also have:
  • Experience in the Human Resources generalist space, partnering with the business to deliver strategic advice and outcomes.
  • Learned knowledge of a large variety of Human Resources functions, including Enterprise Agreements, organisational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, employment law and employee and union relations.
  • An analytical and strategic mindset which is supplemented with exceptional communication and negotiation skills to drive an aptitude for conscientious relations with stakeholders.
  • Robust self-motivation skills which drive a desire to consistently achieve in all facets of the function whilst managing competing demands in the fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of relevant HR and WHS practises.
