The Role Reporting to the Manager – Tenancy and Property Services, the Housing Coordinator will oversee tenancy management operations, supervise frontline staff, and ensure housing services are delivered in line with legislative requirements and program guidelines.

You will play a key role in coordinating tenancy services, supporting staff, and ensuring housing outcomes are delivered effectively and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team including Housing Officers, Assistant Housing Officers and administrative staff.
- Oversee tenancy management activities including allocations, eligibility assessments, rent management and anti-social behaviour matters.
- Ensure compliance with the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 and relevant housing policies.
- Coordinate property maintenance and support asset management processes to maintain housing standards.
- Monitor tenancy performance, identify trends and prepare operational reports.
- Support tenant participation and engagement processes including feedback and complaints handling.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve program outcomes.
Key requirements include:
- Diploma in Social Housing, Community Services, or a related qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in service coordination or housing/community services leadership.
- Demonstrated knowledge of housing issues impacting people experiencing disadvantage or homelessness.
- Strong reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Current driver’s licence.
- Ability to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
