About the Role
As the Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and increasing market share for Greyhound Australia’s renowned travel and tourism offerings. This leadership position requires a strategic and results-driven individual to guide a high-performing sales team in promoting and selling Greyhound’s products and services to domestic & international agents, customers, and key trade partners across wholesale and retail channels.
You will work closely with product, pricing and yield management, and other internal teams to identify new opportunities, innovate product offerings, and ensure consistent delivery of sales targets. Your ability to foster strong relationships with industry partners, develop insightful strategies, and inspire your team will be critical to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Greyhound Australia’s strategic sales plan to maximize revenue growth and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key trade partners, inbound operators, and other industry stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a sales team to achieve and exceed revenue and profit targets.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities and develop innovative sales strategies to respond to emerging market trends.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop impactful campaigns and retail activations that drive customer engagement.
- Provide insightful market analysis, reports, and forecasts to the executive team.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal company policies.
The Head of Sales must have an outstanding commercial acumen, with a hunter mindset to achieve Greyhound’s domestic and international growth strategies. Your mandate extends beyond just oversight; this hands-on sales role is about crafting new relationships by leveraging market insights and translating data into actionable plans to drive results.
You will bean inspiring leader who is values driven and can engage and motivate a high-performing sales team, craft innovative strategies that deliver results, and build strong, collaborative relationships with key partners and stakeholders. With a deep understanding of the Australian tourism market, you'll bring strategic thinking to capitalize on emerging opportunities while tracking performance to ensure success.
Adaptable and resourceful, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, leveraging your financial acumen to manage budgets and forecasts effectively.
Your proven success in meeting and achieving sales targets ideally within tourism or hospitality, will be underpinned by exceptional leadership, communication skills, and a knack for data-driven decision-making. A network of industry relationships and a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not essential) will round out your expertise.
