Head of People and Culture
Job description
About Blue Bungalow:
Blue Bungalow is a lifestyle brand built on curiosity, care and connection, with a distinctive energy that women recognise and return to.
What sets Blue Bungalow apart is their spirit: entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and unapologetically creative. They listen closely, move with agility, and bring fresh ideas to life quickly and always with purpose and thought.
Their customers describe the brand as personal, uplifting, and distinctly different; they come to them not just for clothes, but for the reassurance and enjoyment that comes with feeling understood.
As they continue to grow, their ambition is clear: to build a lifestyle brand that belongs in her everyday moments. They are committed to seamless, considered experiences online, in-store, and everywhere in between, that leave women feeling more confident and supported than when they arrived.
About the Role:
The Head of People & Culture will play a central role in Blue Bungalow’s next chapter, sitting at the heart of their evolution. This is a pivotal leadership role tasked with translating bold ambition into strong foundations - transforming culture into capability, strategy into action, and vision into meaningful outcomes. As Blue Bungalow grow and evolve, the Head of People & Culture will be instrumental in shaping the people agenda to drive performance, engagement, and long-term sustainability.
As the business matures, this role becomes the anchor of clarity, cohesion, and confidence, building frameworks that support scale while preserving the spirit that defines them.
You’ll ensure that every team member, regardless of role or location, understands their purpose, feels valued, and is empowered to thrive. From crafting compelling employee experiences and leadership development programs to building a performance-driven culture and scalable HR systems, this role is both strategic and hands-on.
It’s an opportunity to lead a values-aligned people function in a brand that is reimagining how women connect with fashion, community, and confidence—while creating an inclusive, high-performing workplace where everyone feels connected to something bigger than themselves.
About the Person:
The ideal candidate is a seasoned People & Culture leader with at least 10 years of strategic HR experience, ideally gained in fast-paced, high-growth, and customer-centric environments such as fashion, retail, lifestyle, or ecommerce.
They bring a proven track record of driving transformational change, whether that’s scaling through growth, leading restructures, or evolving workplace culture across diverse teams and locations. With a solid grounding in Australian employment law, HR operations, and compliance, they’re confident translating business strategy into impactful, people-first solutions that deliver both cultural and commercial results.
Equally comfortable in the boardroom or on the shop floor, this person is both hands-on and strategic, able to zoom out and shape the big picture, while also rolling up their sleeves to implement. They bring high emotional intelligence, exceptional communication skills, and a natural ability to influence at all levels.
They thrive in fast-moving, founder-led environments and know how to be a steady, pragmatic partner to creative leaders, bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to the people agenda.
If you’re energised by purpose-led brands, excited by challenge, and ready to help shape the next phase of a high-growth journey - we’d love to hear from you.
