Troocoo is partnering with a highly reputable organisation that is a new breed of tech company. They offer solutions that are human-centered, tech-powered and intelligence fuelled. As the organisation continues to challenge conventional thinking and deliver outcomes that are unimagined, they are now looking for a Compliance and Risk Manager as it looks to develop and implement a strong and reliable risk culture and function.
  
About the Role
As the Compliance and Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in navigating the specific division through a compliance and risk transformation journey. You will be proactive and look to utilise your stakeholder engagement skills as you partner and influence stakeholders across the operations to ensure that they remain compliant with their Australian Credit License.
Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Responsible for establishing and overseeing compliance programs, staff training, and managing audits and reporting.
  • Provide regulatory training and guidance to staff on compliance matters, including regulatory updates and best practices.
  • Conduct periodic updates/reviews of all policies to ensure they continue to meet requirements.
  • Co-ordinate with internal cross-functional teams including client account teams, finance and legal to meet licensing obligations and ensuring effective communications of regulatory changes to the business.
  • Develop and educate understanding of ACL regulatory requirements and ASIC compliance necessary to manage credit activities.
About the candidate.
This is a newly created role for a Compliance and Risk Manager who is looking to create a build a framework of excellence around Compliance and Governance.

You will have the following experience;
  • Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking.
  • Ideally a relevant university degree in economics, finance, or commerce.
  • Strong knowledge of the mortgage broking and finance industry within recent years.
  • Proven experience running compliance programs for an ACL holder in a large corporate environment.
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, high attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and work across multiple departments and geographical regions.
  • You will have a sense of urgency and an ability to work well under pressure, prioritising, taking responsibility and meeting deadlines.
The ideal applicant will be solutions-focused, communicate openly and honestly, perform well under pressure and be able to operate autonomously and within a team environment.
