- Aged Care and Disability Services including a range of home care and home safe services, supported independent living services, respite services, transport, and practice governance services

- Catholic Early Ed Care (CEEC) Childcare services, including outside school hours care, early learning centres and kindergartens

About the Role:
The General Manager Human Resources (GM HR) - Centacare Services is responsible for leading the HR Operations teams that directly support Centacare Services managers and service providers. The role provides HR subject matter expertise and provides stewardship in the development of talent, leadership, and culture within Centacare Services.
Working in close partnership with the Archdiocese of Brisbane (AoB) people and culture team, the role is responsible for all aspects of Centacare Service’s HR activity ensuring effective internal client engagement and client management. This includes HR planning and talent management, identifying leadership capability needs, undertaking succession planning, providing industrial relations advice, ensuring consistent application of remuneration & benefits policies, recruitment & retention strategies, and organisational development initiatives.
About the Person:
The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, building trusted relationships through empathy and open communication, and taking a consultative approach to solving complex HR challenges. They will be adept at managing multiple and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to meet strict deadlines while delivering strategic HR support that aligns with the organisation's goals.
Experience in leading the recruitment strategy and large scale organisational capability initiatives is essential for this role.
A tertiary degree is important, along with a solid understanding of current HR practices and methodologies. Advanced knowledge of Australian industrial legislation is critical to the success of this role. Expertise in performance management, employee relations, and leading large-scale, transformational change is crucial. The candidate should have significant HR leadership experience, ideally within social services and preferably within a matrix structure.
