About the role:
This new role for the business will partner with the Executive and Senior Leadership Team and will be accountable for driving revenue growth and expanding market share for Deswik's mining technology solutions. The Sales Director will lead by influence and plays a key role in the development and execution of the global sales strategy, including working closely with the executive team to identify areas for improvement in the organisations sales processes as well as developing solutions that streamline sales operations.
The Sales Director will work closely with the global Regional Managers as well as providing coaching and mentoring to the Business Development Managers in order for them to achieve high performance.
This role requires a deep understanding of Deswik’s industry, market, and competitive landscape, as well as an ability to analyse data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Specifically, key accountabilities include:
- Develop and execute the global sales strategy in collaboration with other senior executives.
- Developing and implementing sales policies and procedures that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales operations.
- Analyse market trends, data, and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to senior management on potential areas for growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions, promoting the company’s products and services, and networking with industry professionals.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns that support the sales strategy.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to the Business Development Managers to achieve high performance.
- Ensure Deswik has an innovative approach to revenue growth and problem solving.
To be considered for the position, you will be a strong influencer who demonstrates extensive experience and a record of achievements in developing and executing global and regional strategic sales initiatives to achieve company's revenue goals and objectives. Your experience will span across the mining industry and technology sales.
You will bring a strong business acumen, excellent commercial operating experience, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, technical workforce, and industry professionals.
You will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse data, market trends and competitor activities. Your strategic commercial capability and experience as a senior leader are underpinned by your ability to problem-solve.
Experience developing and implementing streamlined sales processes across a global business with experience in the idiosyncrasies of the regions Deswik operates in will be an essential requirement for this key leadership role.
