GIS Technical Architect

Job description

  • 12 months plus extensions
  • Based in Canberra, ACT 
  • Must be an Australian Citizen with PV Clearance
Troocoo are currently seeking an experienced GIS Technical Architect for our Defence client in Canberra locations. 
 
You will have:
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 10 years demonstrated experience with data, map and application configuration and deployment in ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Extensive experience knowledge of GIS business, architecture concepts (Service Oriented Architecture, Web Services, etc.), and GIS deployment architectures.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge in ESRI geospatial technologies, including ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro, as well as knowledge of other geospatial technologies including open source geospatial technologies.
  • Broad, demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery, specification, design, implementation and management of Enterprise GIS systems.
  • Demonstrated GIS skills and experience in management of spatial data.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting, using and administering ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with Esri Web Services, ArcGIS Enterprise and other related spatial services.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in:
    • Defence’s use of the Esri suite and the AGO customer set
    • Defence Intelligence business processes
Desirable Skills
  1. Desirable: Esri certification in one or more of the following:
    1. ArcGIS Pro Associate and/or Professional
    2. Enterprise Geodata Management
    3. Enterprise Administration
  2. Preferred Knowledge and/or experience in:
    1. Cloud platforms and the operation of geospatial systems on these platforms
    2. The use of geospatial systems within humanitarian assistance and disaster relief events and counter-terrorism events
  3. Working knowledge of open geospatial standards including OGC, OWF GeoServices and other relevant open standards.
  4. Experience in stakeholder relationship management and learning design and development.
