GIS Technical Architect
Job description
- 12 months plus extensions
- Based in Canberra, ACT
- Must be an Australian Citizen with PV Clearance
You will have:
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- At least 10 years demonstrated experience with data, map and application configuration and deployment in ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Extensive experience knowledge of GIS business, architecture concepts (Service Oriented Architecture, Web Services, etc.), and GIS deployment architectures.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge in ESRI geospatial technologies, including ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro, as well as knowledge of other geospatial technologies including open source geospatial technologies.
- Broad, demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery, specification, design, implementation and management of Enterprise GIS systems.
- Demonstrated GIS skills and experience in management of spatial data.
- Demonstrated experience architecting, using and administering ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with Esri Web Services, ArcGIS Enterprise and other related spatial services.
- Knowledge and/or experience in:
- Defence’s use of the Esri suite and the AGO customer set
- Defence Intelligence business processes
- Desirable: Esri certification in one or more of the following:
- ArcGIS Pro Associate and/or Professional
- Enterprise Geodata Management
- Enterprise Administration
- Preferred Knowledge and/or experience in:
- Cloud platforms and the operation of geospatial systems on these platforms
- The use of geospatial systems within humanitarian assistance and disaster relief events and counter-terrorism events
- Working knowledge of open geospatial standards including OGC, OWF GeoServices and other relevant open standards.
- Experience in stakeholder relationship management and learning design and development.
