Fundraising Events Manager

Job description

Troocoo are proud to partner with a highly respected not-for-profit organisation that plays a vital role in supporting vulnerable communities across Queensland. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Fundraising Events Manager to lead two of the most high-profile fundraising campaigns on their national calendar.

About the Role:
As Fundraising Events Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of two major, state-wide fundraising events focused on raising critical funds and awareness to support people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. These campaigns create a unique opportunity to drive meaningful engagement and social impact.

This role sits at the intersection of strategic fundraising, stakeholder engagement, business development, and event management. You’ll work closely with business leaders, internal teams and external stakeholders to drive campaign performance, while contributing to national initiatives and aligning with the organisation’s broader fundraising strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic and operational plans for two flagship fundraising events.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with CEOs, corporate leaders and community stakeholders to drive participation and fundraising outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing and fundraising teams to ensure campaigns are integrated, multichannel and on-message.
  • Provide expert leadership and guidance to internal teams and national working groups to promote best practice in fundraising and campaign delivery.
  • Monitor campaign performance, evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for future growth and innovation.
  • Work closely with a highly capable Event Coordinator to oversee logistics and on-the-ground execution.
  • Represent the organisation with professionalism, warmth and integrity in all external engagements.

About You
We are looking for someone who is relationship-driven, strategic and commercially astute. You thrive on building connections, are comfortable networking with high-profile business leaders and have a proven ability to manage complex projects from end to end.
You will ideally bring:
  • 5+ years’ experience in fundraising, philanthropy or corporate partnerships within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Strong understanding of multichannel fundraising campaigns – including digital, direct mail and event-based initiatives.
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships at a senior level, particularly within the corporate sector.
  • A background in event delivery is welcomed, but the real focus is on your fundraising and relationship management expertise.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • A collaborative approach.

Key Points
  • This is a 7 month fixed term contract covering parental leave.
  • $100,000-109,000 + super (pro rata).
  • This role is primarily office based with some flexibility to work from home.
  • Flexible hours can be considered.
  • The successful candidate MUST have demonstrated fundraising experience.
