Financial Analyst (AO8) – Budgeting & Financial Modelling
Troocoo are partnering with this leading Government agency to appoint an experienced Financial Analyst (AO8) to contribute to the delivery of high-quality budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.

You will work closely with finance, commercial and operational stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, integrity and alignment of financial data and assumptions.

• 6 month initial contract - with 6 month potential extension
• $97.66 p/hour + super - labour hire engagement (PAYG)
• Brisbane CBD location - stunning offices

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing and maintaining robust budget and forecasting models
• Delivering scenario analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decisions
• Ensuring alignment with Queensland Treasury and whole-of-government budgeting and reporting requirements
• Integrating data from multiple internal and external sources to support model accuracy
• Monitoring and analysing key cost drivers, including workforce and overheads
• Partnering with stakeholders to validate assumptions and improve financial outcomes

About you:

• Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling within Government preferable 
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial statement preparation
• Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to manage and integrate multiple data sources with a high degree of accuracy
• Experience working within, or aligned to, government financial frameworks is highly regarded
• Ability to identify risks and opportunities associated with system and process changes (e.g. ERP implementations such as SAP S/4HANA)
