An opportunity has become available for an experienced finance systems professional to join a major enterprise transformation program as the Finance Subject Matter Expert.
This role will represent Financial Services in the design and implementation of integrated people and finance systems, ensuring payroll, employee expenses and related transactions flow accurately into the organisation’s enterprise finance platform. You will play a key role shaping financial processes, reporting capability and controls within a large and complex environment.
Working closely with Finance, Payroll, HR and Technology teams, you will help ensure the new solution delivers accurate, auditable and efficient financial outcomes.

About the role
- Acting as the Finance SME supporting a major people systems transformation program
- Defining and documenting end-to-end finance processes relating to payroll, reimbursements, costing and provisions
- Leading the design of payroll-to-general ledger integration into the enterprise finance system
- Establishing finance controls, governance frameworks and audit requirements
- Defining finance reporting requirements and analytics capability
- Partnering with payroll, people systems and technology teams to implement monitoring and reconciliation processes
- Supporting system testing including integration testing, user acceptance testing and reconciliation validation
- Contributing to go-live readiness, cutover activities and transition to business-as-usual operations
About you
- Senior experience in financial accounting and finance systems environments
- Strong understanding of payroll-to-general ledger accounting, journals, costing and reconciliations
- Experience supporting system implementations or transformation programs
- Ability to translate business processes into finance system requirements and controls
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across finance, payroll, HR and technology teams
- Experience designing financial reporting frameworks and governance processes
Qualifications
- Degree in accounting, finance, commerce, information systems or a related field
- CA or CPA qualification highly regarded
