Finance Officer

Job description

About the Role:
This role provides an opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual to support the team and broader business with key accounting administration tasks, while contributing to a collaborative and efficient team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile merchant provider and card debtor accounts
  • Manage cash and bank transactions from retail stores, ensuring all cash is collected and outstanding items are reconciled
  • Provide financial and accounting support to other team members as needed
  • Generate reports as required
  • Ensure all supporting documentation is maintained and organised
  • Undertake other tasks as directed by the business
  • Provide ad-hoc data and information across all levels of the organisation

About You:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred
  • Understanding of transactional banking and reconciliations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to produce accurate reports
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
