As a Government Owned Corporation, Powerlink owns, develops, operates, and maintains the high voltage electricity transmission network in Queensland. The network extends 1,700 kilometers from Cairns to the New South Wales border and comprises 15,345 circuit km of transmission lines and 147 substations.
Powerlink’s purpose is to Connect Queenslanders to a World-class Energy Future and will play a key role in delivering the Queensland Governments recently announced “Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan” which is targeting 70% renewable energy by 2032 and 80% by 2035.

About the role:
The Divisional Reporting Lead will encourage and support the Divisional Reporting Team to provide reporting and analysis along with short term financial planning. This information will support and inform Powerlink’s Board and Senior leaders of the businesses with strategic and operational performance that enables clear decision-making.
You will develop and present business performances from across the industry, comprising competitor and economic context to inform and influence key operations.
The candidate will be able to encourage the team to identify and present opportunities for reporting, process and system improvements and work with other teams as necessary to implement enhancements to improve the end-user experience.
As you connect, transform and establish a culture of cohesion and high performance it is important that you establish effective working relationships with the senior leadership teams to enable the delivery of useful, relevant and informed financial planning, analysis, reporting and advisory services.
About the successful candidate:
You will replicate your prior success operating as a trusted Commercial and Business advisor, fostering relationships, and influencing a range of stakeholders with your collaborative and proactive style. Drawing upon external market intelligence, you deliver expert strategic advice that supports desired commercial outcomes.
This is an exciting role, newly created role within the changing energy sector, that will play an informative role and bring understanding across many senior decisions.
We are looking for an individual with passion and desire to make a difference, holding degree qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Commerce, you will be comfortable in being an influential and clear communicator across all levels of an organisation.
