The Opportunity
In this pivotal role, you’ll lead and mentor a dedicated team of Finance Officers, ensuring the smooth delivery of day-to-day financial operations — including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and compliance.
Reporting to the Finance & Corporate Services Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting operational teams with budgeting and financial management while driving improvements in accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of finance professionals
- Oversee end-to-end accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support effective budgeting and forecasting
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function
You’re an experienced and approachable leader with a strong background in accounting and a commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and service excellence.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years’ experience in finance or accounting roles
- Proficient in MYOB or similar accounting software, with strong payroll knowledge
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop others
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to compliance
- Experience in a not-for-profit or community services environment will be highly regarded.
