Overview
We are seeking a proactive and technically capable IT Field Support Engineer to join a well-known national organisation for an initial 2-month engagement in Brisbane. The successful contractor will provide on-site and remote Level 1 IT support, with a focus on rapid problem-solving, strong communication, and professionalism.

This is a key role where the contractor will represent our brand and values at the front line ensuring staff receive timely, effective support and that all requests are followed through with clarity and care.

  • Hands-on technician who is confident solving problems independently
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving IT issues before they escalate
  • Strong sense of ownership and follow-through on requests
  • Calm, clear, and professional in staff interactions
  • Reliable presence across both sites, delivering consistent, high-quality support


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-point-of-contact IT support to staff - both in-person and remotely
  • Troubleshoot and repair common hardware issues (laptops, printers, workstations)
  • Set up IT equipment for new starters (laptops, dual monitors, docks, etc.)
  • Ensure rapid break/fix response and escalate when necessary
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and clear communication with site staff and managers
  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: Initial 2 months, with the potential for extension based on performance and client satisfaction
