About the role:
As QTC embarks on a new and exciting organisational journey, the Executive Director, People and Culture will play the lead role in embedding the HR strategy across the organisation. This position will be a trusted partner to the QTC Executive Leadership team, Executive Directors, and Board, and will work to deliver on operational business priorities through a contemporary, robust, and fit for purpose people and culture strategy.
Reporting to the Managing Director, Culture and Performance, and Company Secretary you will proactively lead the broader people and culture function including strategic human resources, organisational development and leadership, talent, business partnering, employee relations, HR analytics, performance, and health, safety and wellbeing. Partnering closely with the ELT and Board you will provide high level advice around governance and risk to inform decision making that will ensure organisational wide priorities are being supported.
Key responsibilities include:
You will be an experienced strategic and operational HR leader with the ability to build and foster trusted and collaborative relationships. You will have previous experience partnering at the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Board level, driving organisational development and culture programs, along with the ability to influence and support broader company priorities.
Integrity, including upholding strong professional and ethical standards, will be at the core of everything you do as you work to align strategic HR objectives to the organisational strategy. Working within high-performance environments will be where you thrive as you lead by example to role model culture and leadership behaviours within organisations.
You will have demonstrated ability in building and fostering high performing teams that positively contribute to broader organisational culture. Ideally, you will be Tertiary qualified in human resource management and/or organisational psychology or will have significant equivalent contribution. What is important is that you demonstrate strong partnering and stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to deliver results within the complex and fluid environments you have previously worked in.

- Leading the end-to-end People and Culture function across the organisation.
- Partnering closely with the QTC Executive Leadership Team and Board to provide strategic advice and guidance on all people matters.
- Working to align QTC’s HR strategy with broader organisational objectives.
- Supporting annual cyclical processes across the organisation.
- Forming strong and trusted relationships with key leaders across QTC to help them achieve divisional outcomes.
- Providing business partnering to a number of QTC’s Divisions.
- Representing the organisation on committees and forums internally and externally.
- Engaging subject matter experts within your team to lead strategic HR initiatives.
- Working to retain QTC’s position as an employer of choice within the market.
