Enterprise Integration Engineer

Troocoo are working with a large Federal Government Department in their search for an Enterprise Integration Engineer (EL1). This role is critical in delivering reliable, secure, and scalable integration solutions that underpin the department's diverse enterprise application landscape.

As an Enterprise Integration Engineer, you will design and implement modern integration solutions and APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high performance, automation, and reliability across systems. This is a hands-on technical role, ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about building future-proof, secure integration capabilities.

The successful candidate will be required to:
  • Collaborate with System Analysts, Data Engineers, and stakeholders to design and build integration solutions using Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus).
  • Design, develop, and manage high-quality APIs that are reusable, reliable, scalable, and secure.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable integration code, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and regression testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity.
  • Monitor and optimise integration workflows for speed, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation, including specifications, deployment procedures, and API guides.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and cloud strategy with a focus on scalability and interoperability.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Government security frameworks (ISM, PSPF).
We are looking for an integration professional who can demonstrate:
  • Strong experience in enterprise integration development, preferably within Azure environments.
  • Proficiency in API design and management, including versioning, security, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Australian Government security standards (desirable).
