This is a strategic leadership position responsible for shaping how change is prioritised, governed and embedded across Sunwater, supporting leaders on what is best for the business and its people.

The Opportunity
Reporting into the General Manager – People and Change, you will lead and manage the internal communications function as well as the change management team. You will oversee a team of five direct reports and coordinate a broader embedded change network across strategic programs.

The Opportunity
Reporting into the General Manager – People and Change, you will lead and manage the internal communications function as well as the change management team. You will oversee a team of five direct reports and coordinate a broader embedded change network across strategic programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Enterprise Change and Internal Communications functions, integrating a Centre of Excellence model with embedded change resources
- Establishing and embedding an enterprise change view, moving beyond siloed project delivery
- Advising the CEO, Executive and Senior Leadership Team on communications, change agenda prioritisation and sequencing
- Providing enterprise reporting, insights and presentations to influence senior stakeholders
- Partnering with Portfolio Governance to ensure early integration of change in program pipelines
- Assessing change readiness across Strategic Work Programs to inform delivery capacity
- Embedding Sunwater’s change leadership and cultural models
- Ensuring communications align to the “One Sunwater” strategic narrative
You are a commercially minded, pragmatic change leader who understands both transformation strategy and operational reality.
You bring:
- 10+ years’ experience in enterprise or large-scale change leadership roles with internal communications experience highly regarded.
- Proven experience moving organisations from project-based change to enterprise change governance
- Strong executive influence capability and confidence presenting to senior leaders
- Experience leading and developing high-performing change and communication teams
- A commercial lens and ability to drive change that supports financial sustainability and operational performance
- Qualifications in Change Management (e.g. PROSCI) and relevant tertiary education
