About the role
This role plays a critical part in supporting leaders with day-to-day and complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance, consistency, and best-practice case management across the organisation.
- Act as the first point of contact for leaders seeking advice on employee and industrial relations matters
- Independently triage and manage ER/IR queries and straightforward case management matters
- Support and guide leaders through end-to-end case management, including performance, conduct, and disciplinary matters
- Identify and escalate complex, high-risk or formal matters (including investigations, terminations, and tribunal-related issues) as required
- Ensure all advice and case management activities align with legislation, organisational policies, and risk frameworks
- Maintain accurate case records and contribute to reporting and insights on ER trends
- Partner closely with leaders to build capability and confidence in managing ER matters
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or equivalent practical experience
- Previous experience in an HR, ER, or case management-focused role
- Sound working knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations legislation
- Strong judgement and confidence in triaging, resolving, and escalating matters appropriately
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple cases simultaneously
- Willingness to travel as required to support leaders across sites
