About the role:
The organisation is seeking a Director of Finance to join its Executive Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping its financial strategy and long-term sustainability.
This is a high-impact position, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management—including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls—while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
As a trusted strategic partner, the Director of Finance will lead and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
This role combines financial stewardship with strategic insight, ensuring the organisation’s financial health is safeguarded while enabling it to confidently pursue growth, innovation, and ambitious initiatives.
The Person:
We are seeking an experienced finance professional with a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and CA/CPA qualification. You will bring at least five years of senior finance experience, with expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and providing strategic guidance that drives confident decision-making.
You will be a trusted advisor, building strong relationships across the organisation, including the Board and Executive Leadership Team. Hands-on and adaptable, you can operate strategically and operationally, bringing professionalism, insight, and practical solutions.
Advanced MYOB and Excel skills, combined with strong attention to detail, are essential.
Experience in the not-for-profit, health, or research sectors is highly regarded but not required.
