Digital and Cyber Strategy Consultant

About the Role

Working with our QLD State Government client, you will support the Chief Digital Officer in a review of the 2023-2026 Digital & IT Strategy and the 2023-2026 Cyber Strategy.

The role will evaluate current progress against the strategy, whilst examining current and future environmental factors that will influence the direction of cyber and digital strategies. This role provides expert advice, strategic planning, and governance to ensure technology investments align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of the agency-wide digital and cyber-security strategies aligned with agency priorities
  • Provide high-level strategic advice to executive leadership on ICT investment, emerging technologies, and cyber risk
  • Develop cyber security governance frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with standards such as the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) and Essential Eight
Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in ICT strategy, digital transformation, and cyber security within a government or regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of public sector governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
  • Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and influence senior stakeholders
