Key Responsibilities of the Data Engineer:
- Design, develop, and maintain data models and pipelines across SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI environments.
- Gather and translate business requirements into effective reporting and dashboard solutions.
- Deliver high-quality visual reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Service.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and lineage through ongoing QA checks and validation.
- Analyse data trends and communicate insights to senior leaders to support strategic decision-making.
- Administer and optimise databases and BI systems to enhance performance and reliability.
- Support end-users and promote a data-driven culture across the organisation.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or within a Business Intelligence environment.
- Advanced SQL querying and optimisation skills.
- Strong experience with Microsoft BI tools – SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Windows Server environments.
- Demonstrated ability to design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience administering or managing Power BI environments (advantageous).
