As a Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining fit-for-purpose data models, building impactful Power BI visualisations, and supporting the ongoing growth and maturity of the organisation’s analytics capability.

Your work will directly contribute to improved efficiency, productivity, and strategic insight across the business.

Key Responsibilities of the Data Engineer:
  • Design, develop, and maintain data models and pipelines across SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI environments.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into effective reporting and dashboard solutions.
  • Deliver high-quality visual reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Service.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and lineage through ongoing QA checks and validation.
  • Analyse data trends and communicate insights to senior leaders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Administer and optimise databases and BI systems to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Support end-users and promote a data-driven culture across the organisation.
Skills & Experience Require for success measures:
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or within a Business Intelligence environment.
  • Advanced SQL querying and optimisation skills.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft BI tools – SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Windows Server environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience administering or managing Power BI environments (advantageous).
