Troocoo Government are currently seeking multiple enthusiastic and reliable Customer Contact Officers to join the team within a large Local Government client! These are initial 12-month casual contract positions, based in Caloundra (with occasional travel to Nambour and Maroochydore) and paying $38.05 per hour + super.

The Roles
As a Customer Contact Officer, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality customer experience across phone, email and face-to-face interactions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Answering incoming calls
- Returning call-back requests
- Processing emails and online enquiries
- Performing reception and counter duties (as required)
- Providing accurate information and support to customers
- All interactions are centred around delivering professional, efficient and customer-focused service.
Work Location:
- Primary location: Caloundra Call Centre
- Occasional reception shifts at Nambour and Maroochydore, as required
- Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Peak period hours: 7:30am – 6:00pm
- Shifts range from 4–8 hours per day, depending on operational needs
- Up to 38 hours per week may be offered during peak periods
- Approximately 20–30 hours per week outside of peak periods
- Rotating roster (released two weeks in advance)
- 1 Saturday in every 4 (7:15am – 4:00pm)
- January to mid-March
- July to October
- Availability during school holiday periods is essential to support operational coverage.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A customer-first mindset
- Reliability and flexibility across rostered hours
- Confidence managing high call volumes
- Professional presentation and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work both independently and within a team
- Previous call centre, customer service, or reception experience will be highly regarded.
