Troocoo are excited to be partnering with a well establish manufacturing business located South Brisbane. We are looking to recruit their next Credit Officer on a 3 month temporary contract with the view to move to permanent. Offering an attractive hourly rate of pay Monday to Friday 8am-4.30p.

As a Credit Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of accounts throughout their life cycle. This includes conducting assessments, monitoring, facilitating payments, and taking collection actions when necessary. Your dedication to maintaining high standards and compliance with the Credit Department's KPI schedule and Credit Policy is crucial.
  
Your responsibilities as a Credit Officer will include:
  • Reconciling customer accounts, analyzing issues, and resolving them through effective communication with customers and branch staff.
  • Setting up and maintaining customer account records.
  • Maintaining physical files in an appropriate lending file format.
  • Processing payments via credit card.
  • Completing all necessary receipting tasks, offsetting, and reconciling bank statements.
  • Liaising with internal staff to confirm payments received.
  • Conducting credit reporting to assess the creditworthiness of applicants in line with Credit Policy.
  • Keeping a close eye on trade bureaus, submitting monthly reports, and completing necessary references.
  • Collaborating with the Debtors Insurer and customers to facilitate reviews and gather additional information for assessment.
  • Contacting customers to obtain payments based on Credit Policy, payment terms, risk category, and for reporting cash flow to the Finance team.
  • Escalating overdue customer accounts in alignment with Credit Policy and Debtors Insurance guidelines for further action.
To succeed as a Credit Officer, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar Credit position.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in technology and computer systems.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in response to changing organizational priorities.
  • Capability to engage with stakeholders across multiple divisions and locations.
