They are a proud organisation delivering support to thousands of Australians in need. Due to company growth through a new acquisition, they are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join the procurement team on a full-time permanent basis.
The Role
Reporting into the Strategic Procurement Manager, this role will be a 50/50 split between pre and post award procurement activities across a wide variety of goods and services, including but not limited to clinical equipment, waste management, travel, property etc.

The Role
Reporting into the Strategic Procurement Manager, this role will be a 50/50 split between pre and post award procurement activities across a wide variety of goods and services, including but not limited to clinical equipment, waste management, travel, property etc.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work with internal customers to fully understand their procurement needs and ensure that these are delivered through the broader Procurement network
- Execute complex strategic sourcing activities
- Conduct internal spend and market analysis, market engagement, negotiation, and contract preparation
- Implement category management strategies in line with company objectives
- Lead contract performance and strategic relationship management activities to deliver safe, effective, and efficient outcomes for the group
- Manage improvement projects related to category spend and processes
- Demonstrated experience within an end-to-end procurement, category, or contract specialist position
- Healthcare or Aged Care industry experience is highly regarded
- Proactive and able to gather all required information from various stakeholders
- Excellent stakeholder relationship, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strong analytical capability and attention to detail
- Related tertiary education and / or CIPS qualifications highly regarded
