The Position

Troocoo are partnered with a growing mining organisation to recruit a Contracts & Procurement Advisor based out of their mine sites in the Bowen Basin. This is a full-time, permanent position. Candidates must live in the Bowen Basin area and be able to travel between mine sites or be willing to relocate to the area for consideration.

Reporting to the Supply & Logistics Manager, the Procurement & Contracts Specialist will support the business by delivering pre- and post-award procurement activities across a wide range of goods and services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist in developing and executing category management strategies in line with company objectives
• Drive strategic sourcing and cost-saving activities.
• Conduct end-to-end tender processes and lead commercial negotiations.
• Execute, draft and award contract agreement.
• Provide post-award contract management support to contract owners, including negotiating departures and variations.
• Conduct market research and provide insights to key stakeholders on market trends.
• Provide commercial advice for relevant categories across the site.

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience managing source-to-contract procurement processes
• Resource sector experience is preferred
• Ability to lead negotiations for commercial agreements
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Must be based at or able to relocate to the Bowen Basin surrounding areas permanently
