As the Compliance and Surveillance Lead, you will be responsible for managing and implementing a program of compliance work focused on the Contract Cleaning Industry.
Reporting directly to the Director Technology, Data and Strategic Projects, you will lead a small team to ensure compliance with the Contract Cleaning Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 2005. Your role will involve detecting and assessing potential non-compliance, developing strategic plans, and engaging with stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a compliance program to detect and assess potential non-compliance with the Contract Cleaning Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 2005.
- Utilise your industry knowledge and compliance expertise to deliver the program, implementing effective processes for work planning, resource allocation, and prioritisation of efforts.
- Provide updates, advice, and reports on program status to senior leadership.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve regulatory and compliance outcomes.
- Provide authoritative analysis and advice on regulatory compliance issues, data trends, and investigation outcomes.
- Lead and mentor your team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages high performance and professional development.
We are seeking an experienced compliance leader with an understanding of the nature of the contract cleaning industry. You will have a proven track record in developing and implementing compliance programs, using data-driven approaches to identify and manage non-compliance. Your ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, both in writing and verbally, and your strong people management skills will be key to your success in this role.
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge and experience in the contract cleaning industry and its regulatory environment is preferred.
- Experience leading compliance programs with clear plans for delivery and accountability.
- Ability to develop risk-based compliance programs and use data to drive decision-making.
- Proficiency in managing program schedules, risks, and key performance indicators.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, fostering a motivated and productive team.
- Relevant professional qualifications are not mandatory but are highly regarded.
