About the role:
CleanCo is preparing for a period of rapid growth, innovation, and change, given the future of energy will not be the same as it is today. As a result, the organisation has set out to implement significant changes in terms of how technology supports the business and unlocks future value.
Working closely with your Executive Leadership Team (ELT) colleagues, the Chief Technology Officer will define, lead and communicate the Future State digital and technology strategy and vision that will shape CleanCo’s future.
Specifically, key accountabilities include:
The Person:
To be considered for the position, you will be an exceptional people leader who can demonstrate a record of achievement as a C-suite executive leading large-scale digital and technology transformations in a capital-intensive industry sector.
You are a flexible thinker, weaving together your experience and what you know works with a curiosity about what makes CleanCo different, enabling you to design a technology roadmap that specifically suits us. You will need to bring a strong technology and digital background with a proven track record in embedding clear strategic frameworks that drive business outcomes. Your ability to engage others and embrace organisational change with a client service ethos is critical.
You will also bring a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate high performing technical teams to deliver key business outcomes, whilst working collaboratively with the ELT to unite the business behind a shared vision. You will also have a proven track record in leading outcome-based and customer-centric digital and information technology change and renewal.
Your previous experience will also need to demonstrate your capabilities in maximising cost efficiencies and effective practices across information systems and technology services.

- Lead the Information Communications and Technology (ICT) and Cyber Security functions and their associated teams.
- Take stock of CleanCo’s organisation, capabilities, capacity, nascent ICT strategy, and both newly built and legacy systems.
- Collaborating with the Executive team and Senior leaders in the planning and development of a 5-year road map for the achievement of the digital and technology strategy.
- Develop and lead a dual-track digital and technology strategy for CleanCo that delivers sound core architecture and systems across information and operational technology as well as a customer-oriented digital transformation for the future.
- Leading collaborative and co-designed digital solutions to drive changes which enable an improved customer value proposition.
- Reshape and develop existing teams to enable delivery of the strategy, including decisions on structure, long-term/contingency, and insource/outsource models.
- As a member of the ELT take responsibility for key management decisions to ensure the effective operations of CleanCo.
- Ensuring alignment with CleanCo’s cultural intent, values and strategic priorities.
- Create a values-driven, safe employment environment that attracts, engages and retains skilled talent.
