About the role
The Chief Financial Officer is a key member of the ANZ executive leadership team, and is responsible for the direction, control, and administration of Minor Hotels financial activities. With local, regional and global reporting lines, this role will lead the transformation of the Finance function to ensure that the business is provided with key insights to support effective commercial decisions, which will result in maximising company performance.
Leading a highly capable team, the incumbent will review and enhance programs of work, across policy, process, and systems, ensuring that relevant reporting of information is timely, accurate and transparent. As a key leader in the business, you will also be expected to contribute across the enterprise, playing a strategic role in due diligence for new properties within the Group.
This role will oversee the Group’s internal accounting and tax practices ensuring compliance and effective management of the Group’s cash flow including identification of investment options, capital funding requirements and debt reduction strategies. Within your division, you will focus on the ongoing development of the Finance team to ensure they are engaged and delivering the required service to the business in support of business performance.
Key Skills Required
To be successful, you will be a seasoned and highly capable Chief Financial Officer and will have a demonstrated background in managing complex and diverse P&Ls. With high levels of strategic capability, you will have a track record of developing high performing teams and be expert in the areas of onshore and offshore tax compliance and foreign exchange.
Previous experience operating within global organisations in a matrix model, will be highly beneficial, as will be the management of multiple stakeholder relationships. You will be CPA qualified, and preferably a graduate of the AICD program (however not essential). As a leader and colleague, you will be resilient, have exceptional communication skills, as well as the ability to build and foster strong working relationships both locally and internationally.
