Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver fresh, nutritious meals in line with dietary guidelines.
- Follow food safety protocols and safe work practices (HACCP).
- Participate in seasonal menu planning and discussions with dietitians.
- Provide texture-modified meals (IDDSI) and special diets as required.
- Engage positively with residents, respecting their preferences and cultural needs.
- Support ongoing quality improvement and audit activities.
- Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and food service regulations.
About You:
- Proven experience in a similar cooking role, ideally in a healthcare, aged care, or clinical setting.
- Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery - Required
- NDIS Workers Check - Required
- Unlimited Working Rights in Australia - Required
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Strong understanding of dietary needs, allergies, and food safety protocols
- Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving abilities
