Change Manager – Higher Education Transformation

Our client is undertaking one of the most significant transformation initiatives in the higher education sector, a multi-year Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program that will modernise finance and people systems through a cloud-based platform.

This major program will deliver foundational improvements across Finance, People & Culture, and Digital portfolios, driving greater connection between people, processes, and technology to enable excellence in education, research, and enterprise services.

Reporting to the Senior Change Manager, this role will work closely with the ERP Program team, functional leads, and stakeholders across the organisation to deliver strategic, people-centred change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply structured change and engagement methodologies (e.g. Prosci, Lean Change, human-centred design) to plan and lead change management activities.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, and readiness evaluations.
  • Develop and deliver communication and engagement activities that build awareness, understanding, and adoption of change.
  • Collaborate with program and project managers, functional leads, and SMEs to integrate change activities into delivery roadmaps.
  • Design feedback loops and metrics to measure engagement success and inform continuous improvement.
  • Lead workshops and engagement sessions to support adoption across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Provide change updates and reports to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
About You
  • Proven experience delivering complex, large-scale organisational change within multi-stakeholder environments, ideally in higher education.
  • Experience with Large scale ERP or HR or Finance Programs
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at all organisational levels.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
  • Skilled facilitator who can drive collaboration both in person and remotely using digital tools.
  • Able to work effectively in high-pressure, evolving project environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, outcome-focused mindset.
