Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive complex, high-value end-to-end sourcing initiatives from market engagement through to negotiation and contract execution.
  • Conduct advanced spend analytics, supply market analysis, and total cost of ownership modelling to unlock cost reduction, demand optimisation, and standardisation opportunities.
  • Identify, quantify, and actively manage commercial, operational, and supplier risk across assigned categories.
  • Lead strategic supplier negotiations, establish clear performance frameworks, and drive accountability against agreed KPIs.
  • Act as a senior procurement advisor to business leaders, challenging requirements where necessary and ensuring strong commercial governance.
  • Maintain strict probity, compliance, and adherence to regulatory and financial delegation frameworks.
  • Contribute to the ongoing uplift of procurement capability, frameworks, and transformation initiatives.
Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, category management or commercial procurement within complex, regulated environments.
  • Proven track record of leading high-value, high-risk sourcing initiatives delivering measurable cost savings and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financial data, model total cost of ownership, and build compelling business cases.
  • Advanced negotiation capability with demonstrated success in managing complex supplier negotiations and contract outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of procurement governance, probity, and risk management frameworks.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and operating as a trusted commercial advisor to business leaders.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into actionable category strategies.
