Business Analyst (Cyber)

Job description

Reporting to the ICT Portfolio Manager, you will support a new cyber program and related initiatives by developing business process maps, undertaking maturity reviews, leading workshops and developing business and technical requirements.  This is an opportunity to be part of foundational work to enable best practice cyber security and digital delivery across the Council. 

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering cyber projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex business concepts in technical language.
  • IIBA BABOK certified, BPMN, UML,
  • IT Degree qualified or comparable experience
Tools:
  • Experience with process mapping software, such as Signavio, Promapp, Blueworks, Visio.
Background:
  • Assist the Council in implementing the essential eight deliverables
  • Update the relevant current technology documentation.
  • Facilitate workshops with the ICT and business teams.
  • Good understanding of ISO27001 standard 
  • ASD Essential 8 Controls – Prior experience from planning through to implementation
  • Cyber Policy & Procedures – Prior experience creating/reviewing Incident Response Plans, Security Policies, Acceptable Use, Playbooks, SOP’s, Cyber Reporting
  • Risk assessment and impact analysis, assess controls that could impact the organisations operations
Desirable:
  • Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure – Technical security expertise
  • AWS – Technical security expertise
This position is located west of Brisbane and while a hybrid work environment is offered, the successful candidate will need to attend the office regularly during the week.
