This role will work as part of the technical development and Uplift team, supporting the current platform and working toward a new solution. The role will provide application support, business analysis, testing and documentation to enable the delivery on new solution for the organisation and ongoing support. The work will be a combination of BAU and project work for the system.

As a Business Analyst, you will be providing services in Process & Business Analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria and testing, data and report validation and working closely with a cross functional team to support the current Information System and work with the new system Uplift project.
 
Technology Environment
Current state:
  • Java app on JBoss Enterprise Application Platform
  • Oracle database
Future state:
  • Appian front end/UI, and workflow, enquiry system
  • Transitioning to interim Spring Boot application and migration to Azure Cloud
  • Data Bricks, back end – file validation, business rules processing and data base
Required Experience
  • Experience transitioning of legacy monolithic application to a modern application architecture
  • System/functional redesign, integration, data migration and validation testing
  • Requirements elicitation in an Agile environment (e.g. Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria or Business Requirements Documentation)
  • Process & Systems Analysis, Design and Execution using BPMN or similar
  • Facilitating Requirements and Process Workshops
  • Performing systems analysis
  • Knowledge of JIRA & Confluence/Microsoft/Similar platforms to manage and document work
  • Experience or knowledge of delivering and supporting solutions on a range of platforms, applications and databases – Appian (or similar workflow applications), Java, Oracle, SQL, Databricks, PowerBI, Python, Figma, Azure & AWS cloud hosting
Required Skills
Business Analysis
  • Experience in leading and executing Agile ceremonies in day-to-day work
  • Experience and/or knowledge of CTP and Personal Injury legislation or equivalent (highly valued).
  • Demonstrated experience in performing Business Analysis, planning, managing and delivering scope, backlog, testing, sprints and system deployments.
  • Demonstrated experience with Business Analysis processes, technical artefacts, application and data analysis and documentation/specifications in an Agile framework working with complex Oracle & SQL databases.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of providing business analysis for client focused solutions hosted in government cloud/enterprise environments and the related security and privacy requirements.
  • Experience in the use of, or knowledge of Appian or similar product, Business Process Modelling, JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, SharePoint, and Oracle & SQL relational databases.
  • Customer-Centred Approach: Understands the purpose and benefits of leveraging Customer-Centred practices and can create basic user personas, user stories, customer journey mapping
  • Demonstrates that they can stay ahead and be constantly updating their information and undertake continuous learning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Organised and able to meet agreed deliverable timelines
This role is a twelve (12) month contract, with potential extension options.  Located in the Brisbane CBD, the successful candidate will be required to attend the office frequently during the week.  Remote applications will not be considered.
