About the Role
As an Assistant Housing Officer, you’ll provide administrative and operational support for tenancy and property management services. You’ll be helping clients with enquiries, eligibility assessments, property inspections, and tenant communications, making a real difference in people’s lives.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to client enquiries and provide information on housing and community services
- Assist with client interviews, eligibility assessments, and referrals
- Support property inspections and maintenance reporting
- Assist Housing Officers in delivering services and provide backup support
- Contribute to tenant communications, newsletters, and community events
- Maintain accurate tenant and property records and support reporting
- Certificate IV in social housing or equivalent experience
- Minimum two years’ experience in housing or community services
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Current drivers’ licence is a plus
- Ability to obtain a National Police Certificate, Blue Card, and meet COVID-19 requirements
