AO8 Manager, Information Management

About the Role
Lead the Information Management function for our client, assuming responsibility for service delivery and the management of information and records, including ensuring compliance with statutory obligations. This role requires both managerial and hands-on skills in information and records management as well as a good understanding of relevant statutory obligations and surrounding processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading a team of operational staff responsible for delivering information management and record management services across the organisation.
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining information management policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of an information governance framework, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for information management.
  • Providing expert strategic and operational advice to executive management on matters related to information and records management.
  • Overseeing the collection, storage, organisation, quality, security and disposal of information assets in various formats (electronic and physical).
  • Working with the Information Security Manager to implement and monitor security measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets.
Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of records, along with structured and unstructured information, in a public sector context; including defining and implementing information and data management structures.
  • Experience in leading teams including the establishment of performance frameworks, and coaching and development.
  • Highly developed abilities in gathering, synthesising and analysing data and information; ediscovery; identifying trends and emerging issues; developing insights; and communicating these insights with influence to a range of stakeholders.
  • Significant experience with Content Manager and dealing with unstructured data is desirable.
