Troocoo Government are currently searching for an immediately available AO6 Project Manager for a key State Government client! This is an ASAP start for an intial 3-month temporary labour hire contract (potential to extend).
Based in Mackay, QLD - paying $78.02 per hour + super.

The Role
The AO6 Project Manager will play a pivotal role in strengthening Queenslan'ds building an construction industry by providing a high level of leadership in the delivery of project management consulting services.
As the AO6 Project Manager you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and managing all aspects of building project implementation activities including pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration and post construction activities.
- Coordinating the activities of other project staff, external consultants, building contractors, managers and other business units.
- Providing a high level of contract coordination in respect to traditional and non-traditional contract systems.
- Ensuring all projects are managed to achieve the client's scope, time, cost, cash-flow, and quality requirements and profitability targets. This involves interacting with clients on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensuring individual project team members involved in the provision of pre-design, documentation, contract administration, and post construction services to clients are engaged, communicated with and coordinated effectively.
- Leading negotiations with consultants, local authorities, internal and departmental stakeholders, the client and contractors to ensure value for money solutions are identified and delivered.
- Controlling variances by generating exception reports on time and cost aspects of projects management and performing project audits to establish project team performance as appropriate.
- Assisting the Principal Project Leader/Senior Project Manager to determine attainable fees for services under your control and where necessary, generate the approval for the billing of clients.
To be considered a competitive applicant for the AO6 Project Manager position, you would:
- Be immediately available and based in the Mackay, QLD region.
- Have prior experience working across large-scale infrastructure construction projects, ideally within a Public Sector setting.
- Whilst not mandatory, a relevant tertiary qualification (for example, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Town Planning or Quantity Surveyor) would be highly regarded.
