Job description
Troocoo are working with QLD Government on the recruitment of an AO6 Project Communications and Marketing Officer to join the Strategic Communications and Engagement branch on a contract basis through to June 2025. Working as part of a project teams this role will see you as an integral team member of the Enterprise Email Marketing Solution (EEMS) project. The EEMS Project is part of the Next Gen Communications initiative is changing our approach to corporate communication from a decentralised, program-led model, to an audience-focused one that prioritises audience communication needs and wants. The Project Communications and Marketing Officer will:
- Establishing and documenting business processes and governance that support effective corporate communication
- Creating resources to embed those business processes and build capability across the department
- Better identifying audience characteristics to get the right information to the right people, at the right time
- Procuring an improved email delivery system – the EEMS Project.
The Project Communications and Marketing Officer will:
- Create and manage an online communications hub (e.g. intranet or Sharepoint)
- Create, test and deliver effective business processes related to EEMS, and scalable to all comms channels, that result in improved corporate communication to all Departmental staff
- Develop a range of tools, checklists and resources, incorporating feedback from stakeholder consultation sessions that operationalise the EEMS and other channels within the new Departmental communications operating model
- Plan, create and deliver engaging communication for stakeholders and key audience groups
- Support delivery and monitor agreed project outcomes encouraging a strong customer focus.
- Participate within the project team and stakeholder engagements in undertaking research and analysis of contemporary issues related to the project, output production, implementation and review.
- Support creation and management of project management and production documents, briefing materials, correspondence, submissions, papers and reports on related activities of the project.
- Prior communications and marketing experience at a senior level and be familiar with effective staff communication processes and structures, preferably within a QLD Government framework
- Prior experience in planning, preparing and delivering strategic communication for staff in a large decentralised organisation
- Experience in leading change in a large, decentralised organisation
- Skills in Sharepoint or similar – planning, coordinating and managing communication plans/projects
