AO5/1 Contract Administrator

Troocoo Government are currently assisting a valued client find their next Contract Administrator (A05). This is an initial 6-month temporary contract starting ASAP with potential to extend. 

Role Duties:
The Contract Administrator (AO5) will be responsible for: 
  • Ensure all parties adhere to contractual obligations, applying them honestly and fairly.
  • Provide operational contract supervisory services, including:
    • Conducting regular site inspections.
    • Facilitating site meetings in accordance with standard procedures.
    • Issuing Variation Orders and assessing contractual claims.
    • Processing Contractor’s Requests for Information.
    • Ensuring compliance with the Building Act and maintaining appropriate records.
  • Offer high-level advice to assist in dispute resolution processes.
  • Implement contract administration policies and procedures as identified by the Superintendent.
  • Act in accordance with organisational procedures and systems.
  • Implement post-contract performance evaluation systems.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project team members regarding cost, time, and quality issues.
  • Participate in the review and improvement of Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Apply employment equity and workplace health and safety principles.
About You:
To be successful within this position you would bring the following:
  • Knowledge of contract administration processes for traditional and non-traditional contracts.
  • Experience in administering government building contracts is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of contractual obligations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and resolve disputes effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
