Troocoo Government are currently assisting a valued client with the recruitment of an AO5 Project Officer (Finance). This is a full-time temporary labour hire position, based in Brisbane CBD. Initial engagement to 31/12/2025, with potential to extend to end of June 2026.
The Role
The AO5 Project Officer will play a key role in supporting several business process improvement projects within the Finance Division. You will provide project support to the Principal Project Officer and Manager of Administered Finance.

The Role
The AO5 Project Officer will play a key role in supporting several business process improvement projects within the Finance Division. You will provide project support to the Principal Project Officer and Manager of Administered Finance.
Key Responsibilities
As the AO5 Project Officer, you required (however not limited) to:
- Assist in the preparation of key project artefacts including project plans, change management plans, communication plans, quality plans, program/project status reports, briefing materials.
- Develop and maintain program/project schedules, including interdependencies.
- Work with the Principal Project Officer and business stakeholders to document the end-to-end business processes and identified change impacts.
- Coordinate the gathering of requirements for projects and document.
- Identify risks and issues that may impact on the delivery of the programs/projects and escalate in line with the risk management strategy.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with project team(s) and business stakeholders.
To be considered a competitive applicant for the AO5 Project Officer position you would ideally demonstrate the following:
- Strong experience working within a project delivery team.
- Experience working on a financial and/or banking systems project would be highly desirable.
- Prior Public Sector experience would be desirable, but not mandatory.
- A high level of interpersonal and communication skills.
