AO4 Project Support Officer (Maritime Infrastructure)

Troocoo are currently assisting a valued QLD State Gov client in the recruitment of an AO4 Project Support Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to provide project and program administration, reporting, and coordination support across boating infrastructure maintenance and capital works streams. This is an initial 6-month temporary agency labour hire contract, based in Brisbane's CBD. 

Paying $59.16 to $64.87 per hour + super, dependent on experience.

Your Role
The AO4 Project Support Officer will play a key role in maintaining program documentation, preparing reports, and supporting procurement and contract administration activities.

You responsibilities will include:
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to project managers across the boating infrastructure maintenance and capital streams.
  • Maintain program schedules, milestones, and deliverables using departmental project systems.
  • Prepare, review, and update project documentation including status reports, meeting minutes, and financial summaries.
  • Support procurement activities including preparation of purchase orders, contract documentation, and tracking of contract deliverables.
  • Monitor and report on project expenditure and assist with financial reconciliation.
  • Assist in maintaining registers including risk, issues, decisions, and lessons learned.
  • Maintain document control and ensure records are accurate and accessible in accordance with Departmental policies (e.g., DMS, SharePoint).
  • Assist in coordinating project meetings, site visits, and stakeholder workshops, including logistics and minute taking.
  • Provide reporting and dashboard updates for the Program governance framework.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to consistency across maintenance and capital project governance.
About You
To be considered a competitive applicant you would bring the following:
  • 3+ years' experience providing administrative or project support within an infrastructure or asset management environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use project management tools such as MS Project, 3PCM, SAP, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of project governance, financial tracking, and procurement processes within a government context.
