Troocoo Government are currently seeking an AO4 Procurement Officer to join a busy State Government client within the North Coast Region. This is a long-term labour hire contract (initial 3-year term with 3-year extension), supporting key procurement activities across infrastructure projects. The role will pay between $60.06 – $65.81 per hour + super, depending on experience.
The Role
The AO4 Procurement Officer will support the delivery of procurement activities for a range of infrastructure projects, assisting with procurement planning, documentation, reporting and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with senior procurement staff, the role will contribute to the effective delivery of procurement processes in line with departmental and whole-of-government policies.

The Role
The AO4 Procurement Officer will support the delivery of procurement activities for a range of infrastructure projects, assisting with procurement planning, documentation, reporting and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with senior procurement staff, the role will contribute to the effective delivery of procurement processes in line with departmental and whole-of-government policies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with end-to-end procurement processes, including procurement planning, documentation review and evaluation activities.
- Interpreting and applying procurement policies and procedures in line with government frameworks.
- Supporting complex procurement projects through administrative and coordination support.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement processes, procedures and requirements.
- Establishing and maintaining procurement registers, spreadsheets and reporting documentation.
- Responding to requests for information relating to procurement activity.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and activities.
- Supporting the administrative management of assets and managed items, including sourcing, stocktake and disposal activities.
- Providing occasional support with contract administration activities.
- Utilising systems including Microsoft Excel, SharePoint and other business applications.
About You
To be considered a competitive applicant for the AO4 Procurement Officer position, you would ideally demonstrate the following:
- Experience supporting procurement, contract administration or project delivery activities (mandatory).
- Strong administrative and organisational capability with high attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and apply procurement policies, procedures and frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, SharePoint and other business systems.
- Prior QLD Government experience would be highly regarded.
