Troocoo have been engaged to recruit for an HR Support Officer (AO4) - fixed- term position commencing ASAP for a 4 month initial contract with a high potential to extend. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in a high-performing HR team, with potential for long-term or permanent career progression within the Queensland Government.
As a HR Support Officer (AO4), you will provide specialist assistance in recruitment support and pre-employment processes, HR administrative support, advice and coordination to support the delivery of people services, programs and initiatives within the business.

The role (including but not limited to):
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including raising requisitions in internal systems and ensuring timely processing of pre-employment checks.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure smooth and efficient onboarding processes.
- Provide administrative support across HR functions as needed, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in HR systems.
- Work effectively within a dynamic environment, contributing positively to team objectives and adapting to shifting priorities.
- Maintain professionalism and resilience, focusing on tasks and delivering outcomes amidst internal team changes or reviews.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance service delivery to meet evolving business needs.
- Support initiatives to align team functions with broader organisational goals.
Your experience:
- Previous HR or recruitment experience within the Public Sector
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, negotiate outcomes, and tailor HR information to suit a range of audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability to accurately maintain records
- A go-getter and ability to hit the ground running
- High attention to detail and confidence engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders
- MUST be able to pass a Criminal History Check
- $86,909 - $95,299 per annum + 12.75% super
- Located in Brisbane Inner Northern Suburb
- Work alongside a high performing team within a well-known State Government department
