Troocoo Government are currently assisting a valued client in the recruitment of an AO3 Senior Legal Secretary! This is an exciting opportunities to join an established client and legal team. This is an initial 12-month contract with potential to extend further, based in a desirable CBD location.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-level, accurate word processing, complex formatting (Word, PowerPoint, PDFs), and assist in the preparation of briefs and documents.
- Monitor and manage incoming/outgoing correspondence; maintain efficient filing, records, bring‑up, and retrieval systems.
- Assist with diary management, schedule meetings and conferences, and coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Manage information systems including Excel spreadsheets, case/practice management tools (e.g., Visualfiles), and billing/time recording systems.
- Support legal professionals in meeting financial deadlines: billing, time recording, and compliance with legal expense and counsel fee procedures.
- Liaise with internal and external clients and stakeholders—often handling confidential and sensitive issues—with professionalism and discretion.
- Work collaboratively with Practice Management Branch and undertake additional duties as operationally required.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in legal secretarial or administrative support within a legal setting.
- Proficiency in document preparation and formatting (Word, PowerPoint, PDFs) and strong typing accuracy.
- Competence in managing correspondence flow, diary scheduling, and systems such as Excel and case/practice management platforms.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, comfortable in a dynamic, deadline‑driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with attention to detail and professionalism.
- A client‑service mindset, adaptability, and sound problem‑solving skills.
- Attractive hourly rate of $50.37p/hr + super
