Troocoo Government are searching for for an experienced AO3 Project Support Officer to join the a key State Government client based within the North Coast Region. This is a full-time labour hire opportunity, initially to the 1st of March 2028 (potential to extend further). This position will pay $51.13 to $56.72 per hour + super, depending on prior experience.
The Role
The AO3 Project Support Officer will support the delivery of regionally significant and high-value transport infrastructure projects, including major Bruce Highway upgrades, the Bribie Island Bridge upgrade, and key arterial road projects across the Sunshine Coast.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide high-level administrative and project support to ensure the effective, compliant, and timely delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide high-level administrative and project support to ensure the effective, compliant, and timely delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
As the AO3 Project Support Officer you will be required (however not limited) to:
- Manage document control systems, ensuring accurate filing, version control, controlled access, and timely retrieval of project documentation.
- Coordinate document workflows, including tracking submissions, approvals, and revisions across project teams and stakeholders.
- Administer and support electronic document management systems (EDMS) such as SharePoint, DMS, InEight, or similar platforms.
- Establish and maintain administrative systems including stakeholder registers, correspondence logs, spreadsheets, and project records.
- Provide high-level administrative support to Project Managers and project teams, including coordinating meetings, attending meetings, and preparing and distributing minutes, reports, and presentations.
- Prepare basic spreadsheets and statistical reports to support project reporting and controls.
- Liaise with departmental staff and stakeholders to obtain and clarify information.
- Ensure all administrative activities comply with departmental policies, quality standards, and record-keeping requirements.
- Prepare standard project correspondence using the Microsoft Office suite and undertake general administrative duties as required.
A competitive application for the AO3 Project Support Officer position would demonstrate the following:
- Prior experience in project support or high-level administrative roles, ideally within infrastructure or government environments.
- Strong document control and information management capability.
- Experience using electronic document management systems.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience within the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads would be highly regarded.
- Direct involvement in the delivery of regionally significant transport infrastructure projects.
- Long-term contract with an initial end date of March 2028.
